Regarding Subsidiary IPO Plans, Darma Henwa (DEWA) Breaks Silence
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) has spoken out regarding reports on the planned initial public offering (IPO) of its subsidiary, PT Gayo Mineral Resources (GMR). Management stated that GMR is currently in the exploration stage, particularly for gold and copper projects in Aceh.
Management explained that developing GMR to the commercial stage is a long-term strategic plan of the Company, which is currently under internal review, including the scale of investment and funding sources. One option being considered for funding sources is an initial public offering (IPO), in accordance with applicable provisions and regulations.
Management acknowledged that, in order to develop GMR’s business activities in the future, the Company anticipates and will consider the need for external funding. In connection with this, the Company is reviewing several available funding source options, but not limited to IPO.
However, to date, there has been no decision or concrete steps regarding the implementation of GMR’s IPO.
“All funding options are still in the internal review stage, taking into account various relevant aspects,” management wrote in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
The Company is still reviewing various options, including in this case the funding needs for the development of GMR.
GMR is currently in the gold and copper exploration stage in accordance with the established planning, while still adhering to applicable regulations,” management concluded.
