JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesia Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara Indonesia) is confident that the investment in shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) is oriented towards generating profit. Danantara’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir stated that the purchase of GOTO shares is part of an investment strategy deemed to have good prospects. “We will see how the investment develops, as it is just an investment that we assess should be able to yield good profits,” he said at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, on Monday (11/5/2026). Danantara has become a shareholder in GOTO with a stake of less than 1% of the total shares issued in the capital market. “We’re not thinking that far ahead yet. We’ll see, and if there’s a game plan, we’ll communicate it to the public,” he added. Previously, Danantara’s ownership of GOTO shares had been confirmed by the company. GOTO’s Corporate Secretary R A Koesoemohadian stated that Danantara has purchased shares in the company with a stake of less than 1%. Therefore, the company welcomes the investment, just as it does investments from all other stakeholders, as a reflection of sustained confidence in the business fundamentals, performance, and long-term business prospects. “This confidence serves as positive encouragement for the company to continue conducting business activities sustainably, professionally, and based on good corporate governance,” he said in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
