JAKARTA - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, has denied reports circulating on social media about 70,000 units of motorcycles bearing the MBG (Free Nutritious Meals) label. “The information about 70,000 units is untrue. The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units from the 25,000 units ordered for 2025,” Dadan stated in a press release on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The vehicles purchased with this budget must undergo administrative processes as State-Owned Goods (BMN) before they can be used. “These motorcycles have not yet been distributed. Once all are complete, they will first be recorded as BMN before distribution,” he said. The motorcycles are intended to support the operations of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, particularly for SPPG heads. “The procurement of these motorcycles is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of SPPG heads,” Dadan explained. He hopes the public will understand that the procurement of these motorcycles is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of MBG throughout Indonesia.
