Refly Harun Reveals Roy Suryo Arrested by Police After Dawn Prayer

Refly Harun, the legal adviser for Roy Suryo, stated that his client only had time to perform the dawn prayer before being picked up by Polda Metro Jaya investigators regarding the case of alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Refly admitted he had just parted ways with Roy Suryo around 00.30 to 01.00 WIB after attending an event in Bandung. A few hours later, Roy was picked up by investigators. Refly said Roy did not have time to make many preparations before being taken to Polda Metro Jaya. “Mas Roy told me when I met him in the Subdit Kamneg room, he said he didn’t have time for anything, fortunately he still had time for dawn prayer. So he hadn’t showered, hadn’t dressed properly and then was forced to be taken to Polda Metro,” said Refly at Polda Metro Jaya on Friday (19/6). He said Roy did not sign the arrest warrant. Refly protested the arrest of Roy. According to him, the case ensnaring Roy is still being debated. “We protest strongly, yes, our strong protest. And once again, if for example this is related to, say, a murder case, a corruption case, and so on, it makes sense to be arrested and detained,” he said. Besides Roy, another suspect, Tifauziah Tyassuma, also known as Doctor Tifa, was also reported to have been arrested. Polda Metro Jaya has not yet provided a statement regarding this arrest. Polda Metro Jaya previously stated that the case files for Roy Suryo and Tifauziah Tyassuma alias Doctor Tifa in the case of the alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo have been declared complete, or P21, by the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati). “Alhamdulillah, as of today the prosecutor has stated that the case files we sent to the DKI Jakarta Kejati no longer require fulfilment of the deficiencies that we have previously completed,” said Polda Metro Jaya Director of General Criminal Investigation, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, at Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday (2/6).
