Reference system for mental patients

JAKARTA (JP): An official of the Jakarta Mental Hospital (RSJ) underlines the importance of a reference system of hospitals for mental patients in a bid to improve services.

RSJ director Amir Husein Anwar says a reference system is badly needed to enable doctors to choose a certain hospital which specializes in a particular discipline to handle patients.

Such a reference system is important to help hospitals cope with the increasing number of people, including Jakartans, suffering from mental disorders due to life's complexities.

"The system is needed to cope with this problem," Amir was quoted by Antara as saying. (09)
