Jakarta (ANTARA) - Xiaomi Indonesia has released the REDMI Note 17 as the most affordable model in the REDMI Note 17 series, with prices starting from approximately Rp3.6 million.

In broad terms, the key specifications of this model are similar to the REDMI Note 17 5G; however, the differences lie in the integrated chipset and connectivity options.

“For users who prefer 4G connectivity, the REDMI Note 17 is the right choice, offering many of the same classic advantages found in the 5G model,” said Jeksen, Lead Marketing of Xiaomi Indonesia, during the launch of the REDMI Note 17 series in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Chip performance is supported by RAM starting at 6GB, which can be expanded up to 12GB using the Memory Extension feature.

Regarding other specifications, the REDMI Note 17 shares key features with the REDMI Note 17 5G, including a 7,700 mAh battery capacity supported by 45W wired fast charging.

It also features 22.5W reverse charging, allowing the smartphone to function as an emergency power bank to charge other devices.

In terms of display, similar to the 5G model, the device features a 6.99-inch AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. It also includes a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Regarding the camera, the phone is equipped with a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front-facing camera.

For durability, the phone has an IP65 rating to ensure resistance against dust and water splashes.

The colour options offered are similar to the 5G model: Celestial Purple, Sky Teal, and Black.

In Indonesia, the REDMI Note 17 is available in two RAM/ROM configurations: 6GB/128GB priced at Rp3,999,000 and 6GB/256GB priced at Rp4,299,000.
