Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Specifications Revealed with 10,000 mAh Battery

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Indonesia, bringing several significant updates, most notably a 10,000 mAh battery capacity, which is the largest ever presented by Xiaomi in the Indonesian market.

With this jumbo battery, Xiaomi claims the device can be used for up to three days on a single charge, ensuring users do not need to search for power outlets frequently during their activities.

“The 10,000 mAh capacity means three full days of use with a single charge. From busy workdays to active weekends, you won’t have to worry about battery life,” said Jeksen, Product Marketing Lead of Xiaomi Indonesia, during the launch of the REDMI Note 17 series in Jakarta on Wednesday.

10,000 mAh Battery and 100W Charging

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G battery utilises the REDMI Titan Battery system, which incorporates 16 per cent silicon-carbon material. This battery is supported by 100W HyperCharge technology, ensuring that its large capacity can still be replenished quickly.

The phone also supports 27W reverse charging. With this feature, the large-capacity battery is not only used to power the phone but can also be used to charge other devices.

Xiaomi has also equipped the device with a power management system claimed to maintain battery health at 80 per cent or higher for up to 1,600 charging cycles. This figure is said to be equivalent to normal usage for approximately six years.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G also focuses on durability. This device is the first in the industry to achieve the TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification. For protection against water and dust, the phone holds IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications. Xiaomi also stated that the device has undergone submersion testing at depths of up to two metres for 72 hours.

Underwater Mode and Wet Touch 2.0 features are also included to help the screen remain responsive to touch when used in wet conditions. Regarding impact protection, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G uses the REDMI Titan Structure architecture paired with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the display. The device has also passed the SGS drop test from a height of three metres onto a hard granite surface.

Performance and Display

Moving to performance, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. Xiaomi has designed this chipset to support needs ranging from heavy multitasking to 4K video recording. To support its performance, the device provides 8GB of RAM with two internal storage options: 256GB and 512GB.

For the display, the phone uses a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The screen features a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, ensuring clarity even under direct sunlight. The touch sampling rate also reaches 3,200 Hz to provide faster touch response.

The entertainment experience is further enhanced by stereo speakers claimed to produce volumes up to 400 per cent higher. For photography needs, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 50 MP main camera accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32 MP front-facing camera.

The camera system has seen improvements in portrait features designed to produce natural facial details and skin tones. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G camera also supports video recording up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. Additionally, Xiaomi has equipped the device with several artificial intelligence (AI) features, such as AI Creativity Assistant, AI Glare Removal, AI Erase Pro, AI Beautify, and AI Image Enhancement. To support the AI-driven experience, the device is integrated with Google Gemini, Circle to Search with Google, and Xiaomi HyperAI.

Price and Availability

For long-term use, Xiaomi promises four major operating system updates and security updates for six years. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is available in three colours: Cloud Peach, Green, and Black.

In Indonesia, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is priced starting from Rp7,499,000 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Meanwhile, the variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage is offered at Rp8,499,000.

The public can begin placing orders through a pre-order scheme from 16 to 24 September 2026. Orders can be made via the online channel mi.com, Xiaomi official stores on various e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, and official Xiaomi outlets. General availability of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Indonesia is scheduled to begin on 25 September 2026.
