Redmi Note 17 Pro Max officially launched in Indonesia with 10,000 mAh battery

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Redmi Note 1erm 17 Pro Max has officially made its debut in Indonesia, featuring a massive 10,000 mAh battery capacity—the largest ever released by Xiaomi in Indonesia—with prices starting from Rp7.4 million.

“The 10,000 mAh capacity means three full days of use on a single charge. From busy workdays to active weekends, you won’t have to worry about battery life,” said Jeksen, Product Marketing Lead of Xiaomi Indonesia, during the launch of the REDMI Note 17 series in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Examining the key specifications, the 10,000 mAh battery is built using the REDMI Titan Battery system made of silicon-carbon and is supported by 100W HyperCharge super-fast charging. The device also features reverse charging capabilities with a 27W capacity, ensuring the large battery is not merely a gimmick but a functional tool capable of charging other devices.

Its intelligent power management system is claimed to maintain battery health at 80% or higher for up to 1,600 charging cycles, equivalent to normal usage over six years. In terms of durability, this phone is the first in the industry to achieve the TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification.

The device is equipped with comprehensive protection against water and dust through IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, and has passed submersion tests at a depth of two metres for 72 hours. Additional features such as Underwater Mode and Wet Touch 2.0 technology ensure the screen remains responsive even in wet conditions.

Regarding impact resistance, the device, which utilises the REDMI Titan Structure architecture, is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen protection and has passed the SGS drop test from a height of three metres onto a hard granite surface.

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, designed to support heavy multitasking and 4K recording. Performance is supported by 8GB of RAM with two internal storage options: 256GB and 512GB.

Regarding the display, the phone features a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The screen has a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits for clarity under sunlight and a touch sampling rate of up to 3,200 Hz.

In the photography sector, the highest variant of the REDMI Note 17 series is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera. The camera system brings improvements such as portrait features that produce detailed facial features and natural skin tones.

The camera also supports 4K video recording at 30 fps and is equipped with a range of integrated artificial intelligence (AI) features, including AI Creativity Assistant, AI Glare Removal, AI Erase Pro, AI Beautify, and AI Image Enhancement. The device ecosystem is also fully supported by Google Gemini, Circle to Search with Google, and Xiaomi HyperAI.

For long-term use, Xiaomi promises four major operating system updates and six years of security updates. The phone is available in three colours: Cloud Peach, Green, and Black.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is offered in Indonesia starting from Rp7,499,000 for the 8GB/256GB configuration and Rp8,499,000 for the 8GB/512GB configuration. Pre-orders can be made from 16 September to 24 September 2026 via the mi.com online channel or through official Xiaomi stores on various e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. Direct orders can also be made at official Xiaomi retail outlets. The general availability of the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Indonesia will begin on 25 September 2026.
