REDMI M100 Pro in Preparation, Potentially Reviving 2025 Smartphone Model

Jakarta (ANTARA) - REDMI is reportedly set to expand its M-series smartphone lineup with the REDMI M100 Pro, which is being prepared as the top-tier model of the REDMI M100 series.

Previously, the REDMI M100 was quietly introduced in its home market, China, in mid-August 2026, and shortly thereafter made its global debut under a different name as the REDMI 17 5G.

As reported by Gizmochina on Monday (21/9) local time, the latest news regarding the REDMI M100 Pro provides an initial glimpse of what can be expected from the flagship model of the M100 series.

Confirmation of the REDMI M100 Pro’s development was obtained from tech leaker Kacper Skrzypek via a post on Elon Musk’s social media platform, X.

Through an update to the REDMI software database, it appears the company has recently added the REDMI M100 Pro to Xiaomi’s device lineup.

This could indicate that the upcoming M-series may be an exclusive rebranding in China of the REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G, which previously launched in the global market in 2025.

This strategy mirrors the approach taken by REDMI when releasing the REDMI M100 in the Chinese market, which shared its underlying platform with the REDMI 17 5G in the global market.

If this rebranding approach is accurate, the REDMI M100 Pro will likely retain most of the hardware from the REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G.

Consequently, the REDMI M100 Pro should feature a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset.

For its camera setup, the phone may arrive with a 50MP main camera featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor, an f/1.65 aperture, and OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawwide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

Other expected specifications include a 5,110mAh battery with 45W wired charging, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and an IP68 rating.
