Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Head of BP BUMN, who also serves as Chief Operating Officer of BPI Danantara, Dony Oskaria, has spoken out regarding the vacant directorship positions in several red plate companies. He revealed that this is related to the transformation plans to be implemented in some SOEs.

“This is currently undergoing restructuring,” he stated when met in the Pertamina Refinery area, Cilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Dony explained that BP BUMN and Danantara are currently conducting a comprehensive mapping, including management structures or leadership in several SOEs.

“This mapping is being done comprehensively; we don’t want to rush it,” he said.

He assured that, although directorship positions in some SOEs are vacant, supervision and monitoring will continue. “On average, the companies that are still vacant are monitored directly from BUMN and Danantara,” he stated.

Dony further explained that the majority of SOEs whose boards of directors are replaced by acting officials mostly have performance issues, including financial ones. Therefore, comprehensive improvements are needed, including the figures who will fill the top leadership positions.

“Because usually they face problems. Whether financial problems or various others, especially financial problems,” he clarified.

For information, several red plate companies such as Danareksa, Bahana, Perumnas, and Rajawali Nusindo do not yet have a definitive leadership structure. Several directorship positions in those companies are filled by acting officials.
