Red Cross gets new chief

JAKARTA (JP): The new chief of the city branch of the
Indonesian Red Cross, Uga Wiranto, was installed yesterday to
replace M. Muas.

M. Muas, who is also a legislator, has served two periods of
leadership.

Uga Wiranto, the wife of outgoing Jakarta Military Commander
Maj. Gen. Wiranto, also holds the position of deputy chief of the
city's branch of the Golkar ruling party. (anr)
