Red Chilli Peppers Reach Rp63,900 per kg, Chicken Eggs at Rp29,250 per kg on Thursday Morning

The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded that the price of red cayenne pepper reached Rp63,900 per kilogram, while chicken eggs were priced at Rp29,250 per kilogram on Thursday morning. Based on data from PIHPS released in Jakarta at 08:32 WIB, other food commodity prices at the national retail level included shallots at Rp48,300 per kg and garlic at Rp44,000 per kg. For rice, lower quality I was priced at Rp14,700 per kg, lower quality II at Rp14,550 per kg, medium quality I at Rp16,350 per kg, and medium quality II at Rp16,100 per kg. Meanwhile, super quality I rice was recorded at Rp17,650 per kg and super quality II at Rp17,100 per kg. PIHPS also noted that the price of large red chillies reached Rp51,800 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp51,600 per kg, and green cayenne pepper at Rp50,150 per kg. Fresh chicken meat was priced at Rp36,750 per kg, while quality I beef reached Rp150,100 per kg and quality II beef was at Rp141,100 per kg. For sugar, the premium granulated variety was recorded at Rp20,300 per kg and local sugar at Rp19,050 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp20,550 per litre, branded cooking oil package I at Rp24,250 per litre, and branded cooking oil package II at Rp23,400 per litre.
