Red chilli pepper reaches Rp71,600 per kg, chicken eggs at Rp29,800 per kg on Wednesday morning
The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded the price of red chilli pepper at Rp71,600 per kilogram, while chicken eggs were priced at Rp29,800 per kg on Wednesday morning.
Based on PIHPS data released in Jakarta at 08.53 WIB, other nationally recorded retail-level food prices included shallots at Rp52,250 per kg and garlic at Rp44,150 per kg.
For rice, lower quality I was priced at Rp14,650 per kg, lower quality II at Rp14,500 per kg, medium quality I at Rp16,300 per kg, and medium quality II at Rp16,100 per kg. Super quality I rice was recorded at Rp17,600 per kg, and super quality II at Rp17,050 per kg.
PIHPS also noted the price of large red chillies at Rp54,950 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp54,150 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp52,300 per kg.
Fresh broiler chicken meat was priced at Rp36,950 per kg, while quality I beef reached Rp149,850 per kg and quality II beef was Rp140,950 per kg.
For other commodities, premium granulated sugar was recorded at Rp20,300 per kg and locally produced granulated sugar at Rp19,200 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp20,700 per litre, branded cooking oil I at Rp24,300 per litre, and branded cooking oil II at Rp23,550 per litre.
