Red and White Cabinet Ministers Arrive at Palace for Plenary Session

Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet began arriving at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to attend a Plenary Cabinet Session on Monday (20/7). Special Presidential Adviser for Communication Hasan Nasbi stated that the session would discuss President Prabowo’s directives regarding the acceleration of government programmes. “The invitation is for a plenary session. It is likely for the president’s directives on accelerating development programmes and the president’s flagship programmes,” Hasan said at the location. However, Hasan did not elaborate on the specific topics or directives to be discussed during the session. He asked the media to wait until the session, scheduled for 15.00 WIB. Based on CNNIndonesia.com’s observation, a number of cabinet ministers had begun arriving at the palace. Among them were Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Head of the National Nutrition Agency Nanik S. Deyang, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, and Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi. Separately, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the afternoon plenary session. “God willing, this afternoon,” Prasetyo Hadi said via text message on Monday. Pras did not detail the specific topics to be discussed in the afternoon’s cabinet session. He said all matters related to government affairs would be discussed in the meeting. In addition, Pras also mentioned that one of the issues that would certainly be discussed in the cabinet session was the acceleration of government programme implementation.
