Red and White Cabinet Ministers Arrive at Palace for Plenary Session

Ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet began arriving at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday (20/7) to attend a plenary cabinet session.

Hasan Nasbi, the President’s special advisor for communications, said the session would cover directives from President Prabowo concerning the acceleration of government programmes.

“The agenda is a plenary session. It is likely to involve presidential directives on accelerating development programmes and the President’s flagship programmes,” Hasan said at the location.

However, Hasan did not detail the specific matters to be discussed in the session.

He asked the media to wait until the session convened at 15:00 WIB.

According to CNNIndonesia.com’s observations, cabinet ministers began arriving at the palace, including Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, head of the National Nutrition Agency Nanik S. Deyang, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, and Cabinet Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

Separately, Cabinet Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the session would take place this afternoon.

“God willing, this afternoon,” Prasetyo Hadi said via text message on Monday.

Pras, as he is known, did not specify which issues would be discussed in the cabinet session.

He said all areas concerning governmental affairs would be covered in the meeting.

In addition, Pras said one matter that would certainly be discussed in the session was the acceleration of government programme implementation.

This afternoon’s session is the first plenary cabinet session in roughly four months.

Prabowo was last recorded as holding a plenary cabinet session on 13 March 2026.
