Recruitment Opens for PPPK Teachers at 'Sekolah Rakyat', Note the Dates and Registration Process

The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has officially opened recruitment for Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) for Teachers at Sekolah Rakyat (SR) for 2026. This programme is part of the government’s effort to expand access to education for underprivileged communities by providing quality educators and education personnel. This year, Kemensos is offering 3,053 teacher formations for Sekolah Rakyat, to be placed across various regions in Indonesia. Based on the official State Civil Apparatus Candidate Selection System (SSCASN) website, the 2026 PPPK Teacher formations for Sekolah Rakyat are: 1. Classroom Teacher, for primary schools; 2. Indonesian Language Teacher; 3. English Language Teacher; 4. Mathematics Teacher; 5. Natural Sciences Teacher; 6. Social Sciences Teacher; 7. History Teacher; 8. Physical Education, Sports, and Health Teacher; 9. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Teacher; 10. Arts and Culture Teacher; 11. Physics Teacher; 12. Biology Teacher; 13. Chemistry Teacher; 14. Economics Teacher; 15. Sociology Teacher; 16. Geography Teacher; 17. Information Technology and Computer Teacher; 18. Guidance and Counselling Teacher. These vacancies are specifically aimed at graduates of the Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG Prajabatan) or PPG for Prospective Teachers. Applicants can be graduates not yet recorded in the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) as well as those already registered as non-ASN teachers in Dapodik. There are general and specific requirements that must be met. General requirements include being an Indonesian citizen, aged 20 to 40 years, never sentenced to 2 years or more in prison, and never dishonourably discharged as a civil servant, TNI, or Polri member. The specific requirements include a minimum GPA of 3.00 and a willingness to reside near the Sekolah Rakyat, proven by a statement letter. Teachers working in local government schools must attach a permit from the education office administrator, while private school teachers need a permit from the foundation chairperson. The online registration is conducted via the SSCASN portal. The schedule for the 2026 selection is as follows: Announcement of selection: 3-15 June 2026; Registration: 8-14 June 2026; Administrative selection: 8-16 June 2026; Announcement of administrative results: 17 June 2026; Computer Assisted Test (CAT) implementation: 26 June - 5 July 2026; Announcement of CAT results: 9 July 2026; Additional Competency Selection: 13-19 July 2026; Final result announcement: 27 July 2026; CV filling and document submission: 28 July - 11 August 2026. As the registration period lasts only one week, prospective applicants are advised to immediately prepare their documents and register through the SSCASN portal.
