Recruiting 30,000 Red and White Village Cooperative Managers, Government Claims No Backdoor Channels
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) has assured that the national recruitment process for managers of Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes Merah Putih) and staff of Red and White Fishery Villages (KNMP) will be conducted fairly.
Zulhas claimed that the government is only selecting the best individuals.
Therefore, Zulhas stated, the government is closing off opportunities for applicants seeking entry through connections with certain parties or via insider channels (ordal).
“So, there are no special channels, no recommendations, no parties guaranteeing success,” said Zulhas, in a statement from the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), on Wednesday (15/4/2026).
For this reason, Zulhas urged prospective applicants to be wary of individuals offering promises of success in exchange for certain payments.
“If there are parties asking for payments and promising passes, that means they are deceiving and lying,” he said.
Zulhas stated that the government will only approve applicants who meet the requirements and are deemed worthy of managing Kopdes Merah Putih and KNMP.
The main requirements for this recruitment include graduates of D3, D4, and S1 from all majors, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (IPK) of 2.75, and a maximum age of 35 years.
He gave an example: if there are two applicants from Lampung and East Java with the same score for placement in East Java, the applicant from East Java is likely to be prioritised.
“If they are qualified and good, they will get it. The best one will certainly get it. So, follow the selection process well,” Zulhas explained.
Zulhas asked all elements to oversee the recruitment process honestly, disciplined, and transparently so that the selected individuals are truly the best to carry out President Prabowo Subianto’s mandate.
It is known that the government has officially opened job vacancies for 35,476 people to manage Kopdes Merah Putih and KNMP.
The registration process runs from 15 April 2026 to 24 April 2026.
In detail, this number consists of 30,000 vacancies for the position of Kopdes Merah Putih manager under PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, while the remaining 5,476 are opened for KNMP staff positions under PT Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara.
