JAKARTA (Antara): A 10-hectare recreation center, called Taman Wisata Permata Buana, will be opened on March 1, in Sawangan, some 30 kilometers southwest of here.
The recreation center currently has only a restaurant and three fishing ponds but will soon have a karaoke bar, tennis courts, a swimming pool, an auditorium and a children's playground, its President Director Kurnia Hermawan said yesterday.
Eighteen air-conditioned cottages will be built around the three fishing ponds, he said.
The recreation center on Jl. Raya Parung, a highway linking Jakarta and Bogor via Ciputat, will be opened by Tadjus Sobirin, chairman of the Jakarta chapter of the ruling Golkar, and the commissioner of the Restu Alam Group which is developing the center.
