Record of Pramono Anung's First Year Published, Discusses Jakarta Development Direction
A book discussing one year of leadership by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has been launched as a reflection of Jakarta’s development policy direction at the beginning of his administration. The book examines various policies deemed to have influenced the capital’s economic stability and activity.
The book’s author, Rojaul Huda, explained that the publication titled “One Year of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo’s Leadership: Fast, Precise and Beneficial Work” contains perspectives from numerous experts, academics, community leaders, and observers regarding Pramono’s first-year leadership. “This one-year book is a portrait of Pramono Anung’s policies and leadership in his first year, compiled from the thinking of experts, academics, community leaders, and observers presented through various writings,” Rojaul said in a press statement on Thursday (12 March 2026).
Rojaul noted that several articles in the book highlight Pramono’s communication approach in the public sphere and the provincial government’s efforts to accelerate the implementation of development policies. One aspect discussed is the regional government’s steps in maintaining economic activity through the organisation of various large-scale events in Jakarta.
Jakarta’s Special Staff to the Governor stated that the organisation of various city activities is also intended to encourage community economic activity. “Various large-scale events held in Jakarta serve not only as spaces for cultural expression and entertainment, but also as economic drivers involving micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the tourism sector, and the creative industry,” he said.
Rojaul added that the various policies discussed in the book illustrate the provincial government’s efforts to maintain balance between economic growth, social programmes, and community connectivity in Jakarta.
“In his first year, Pramono has been able to present effective leadership with measured communication in the public sphere, whilst ensuring strategic policies run to maintain Jakarta’s economic growth,” Rojaul said.
The book is expected to serve as an initial record of the policy dynamics and leadership of the Jakarta Provincial Government during Pramono Anung’s first year in office.
