Reconstruction of Murder of Woman Reduced to Skeletal Remains in Depok; Suspect's Legs Bandaged
DEPOK — The Jakarta Metropolitan Police conducted a reconstruction of the murder allegedly committed by Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan (44) against his wife at a residence in the Meruyung area, Limo District, Depok City on Friday, 13 March 2026.
During the reconstruction, investigators staged approximately 56 scenes to establish the chronology of the murder.
At the scene, Ahmad was presented under tight police escort, wearing an orange detention uniform from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police headquarters. Both his hands, positioned in front of his body, were bound with red string. Meanwhile, wounds covered with white bandages were visible on both his right and left calves, with stains of iodine solution or blood visible seeping through the surface.
The condition became clearly apparent as Ahmad walked with a limp, appearing to struggle with each step.
AKP Charles Bagaisar, Head of Section 4 of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, stated that the reconstruction depicted approximately 56 scenes. All scenes staged were said to correspond with the suspect’s account as well as witness statements.
“For the implementation of this reconstruction, we will complete it in the case file process which will then be sent to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (JPU),” Charles told journalists on Friday.
Based on investigative findings, the domestic conflict between the victim and perpetrator reportedly began escalating frequently after Ahmad stopped working as a sorter at an express delivery services company.
The increasingly difficult economic situation caused them to frequently quarrel, particularly when facing numerous loan repayments.
The victim’s request for assistance was deflected by the perpetrator, who instead propositioned her for sexual relations, which she rejected.
“The suspect became angry and immediately gagged the victim’s mouth using his hand,” according to the description of scene number 14.
Subsequently, the perpetrator also strangled the victim and brought her to the bedroom, eventually piling the victim’s body with clothing and sprinkling it with coffee powder.
Previously, the skeletal remains of a woman with the initials DH (56) were discovered in her residence in the Meruyung area, Limo District, Depok City on Saturday morning, 7 March 2026.
