Residents of Negari village, Banjarangkan district, Klungkung, Bali, packed the location of a reconstruction of the murder of I Nyoman Cita (50), alias Man Colik, staged by the Klungkung Police on Tuesday (21/7/2026). To ensure residents did not disrupt the re-enactment, pecalang from the Negari customary village were deployed to provide security.

“At the request of the Klungkung Police, today we are helping to secure the reconstruction process. There are nine pecalang on duty,” said the coordinator of the Negari customary village pecalang, Made Suparna, to detikBali at the reconstruction site on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

Most of the residents watching the reconstruction were family members and friends of the victim. Similar conditions were seen at the second location, the perpetrator’s house in Banjar Negari Kangin, Negari village.

Suparna explained that his team was anticipating possible actions by residents or the victim’s family against the perpetrator during the reconstruction process.

“We are here to anticipate unwanted incidents. Security for the perpetrator is already the police’s responsibility. So we are anticipating the residents,” Suparna explained.

The Klungkung Police staged the reconstruction of the murder of I Nyoman Cita, alias Man Colik, on the Bubuh river in Negari village, Banjarangkan district, Klungkung, Bali, on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

The reconstruction was performed by the perpetrator, Agus Novit Pramana Putra (30), alias Petong, who wore an orange prison uniform and a black hood. Petong demonstrated a total of 46 scenes during the reconstruction.

One local resident, Ni Luh, said she came out of curiosity to see the person who killed Man Colik in person. She said she knew the victim.

“I was curious about how Man Colik was killed. I was friends with the victim. He was a good man. When it happened, I joined the search here until three in the morning,” Ni Luh said.

Earlier, Petong was arrested by a joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Klungkung Police and the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the Bali Regional Police at a boarding house on Jalan Mahendradata Selatan, West Denpasar, in the early hours of Friday (17/7/2026).

Man Colik was previously found dead, floating in the Bubuh river (Tukad Bubuh) on Thursday morning (2/7/2026). The middle-aged man had earlier been reported missing after saying goodbye to go bathing in the river on Wednesday night (1/7/2026).

The victim’s body was found lying face down to the south of the Bypass bridge near the Klungkung General Election Commission (KPU) office at around 07.30 local time. Police subsequently found a number of lacerations on the victim’s body, pointing to suspected violence.
