Jakarta (ANTARA) - Various criminal incidents occurred in the DKI Jakarta region on Wednesday (3/6), ranging from the Metro Jaya Regional Police arresting a couple suspected of trafficking methamphetamine in the Palmerah area, to the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office designating and detaining a new suspect, identified by the initials LHL, in a suspected corruption case involving the distribution of fictitious credit through the financial technology (fintech) platform KoinWorks for the 2020-2024 period.

- Defendants in bank branch manager murder case sentenced to one to 13 years in prison
The Military Court II-08 Jakarta has handed down prison sentences ranging from one to 13 years to defendants involved in the kidnapping and murder of a bank branch manager, identified by the initials MIP (30). “Considering that after examining and weighing the aforementioned matters, the Panel of Judges believes that the punishment stated in the following dictum is fair and balanced with the defendants’ guilt,” stated Chief Judge Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto during the verdict reading at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, East Jakarta, on Wednesday.

The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI) has named and detained a new suspect, LHL, the Beneficial Owner of PT RMS, in a suspected corruption case involving fictitious credit distribution through the KoinWorks fintech platform for the 2020–2024 period. The Head of the Legal Information Section of Kejati DKI, Dapot Dariarma, explained in Jakarta on Wednesday that LHL is an entrepreneur from Malang, East Java, who is strongly suspected of manipulating credit applications to a bank in Jakarta via the KoinWorks platform.
