Receiving Complaints, Pramono Evaluates Implementation of CFD on Rasuna Said

The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) implemented a motor vehicle-free day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) for the first time on Jalan HR Rasuna Said in South Jakarta on Sunday (10/5/2026). Despite this, the event received complaints from several parties. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung assessed that the CFD implementation in the Rasuna Said area was welcomed enthusiastically by the public. This was evident from the large number of people who came to exercise and engage in activities along Jalan HR Rasuna Said on Sunday morning. “So yesterday when we held the inauguration for the anniversary and also waste sorting as well as plans for the Car Free Day on Rasuna Said, I can convey the following. First, the public’s enthusiasm was extraordinary,” he said in East Jakarta on Monday (11/9/2026). Nevertheless, Pramono admitted that there were inputs from several parties regarding the CFD implementation in the Rasuna Said area. One of them was from the community that usually worships in the surrounding area every Sunday morning. “There is only a request, especially from places in Rasuna Said that have worship services, apologies,” Pramono stated. According to him, the worship services usually start from 10:00 WIB every week. As a result, the CFD implementation was deemed to have a slight impact on them.
