Receiving Award, Deputy Interior Minister Ribka Haluk Calls for Active Role of Women

Jakarta, VIVA – Deputy Interior Minister (Wamendagri) Ribka Haluk has called on all Indonesian women to play an active role, both in the public and domestic sectors, in realising the vision of a Golden Indonesia. She delivered this call after receiving the Public Sector category award at the CNN Leading Women Awards 2026.

“For the message to women out there who are engaged in activities, whether in the public sector or domestically, stay spirited and keep moving forward. We will achieve Golden Indonesia together,” she stressed in Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.

After receiving the award, Ribka expressed her pride as well as her surprise at the appreciation. She recounted that she has always focused on carrying out her duties and responsibilities in government without thinking about awards.

According to her, this achievement is a form of recognition for work in the public sector that has also received attention from various parties, including the media. She admitted she did not expect to be included in the nominations and ultimately selected as the recipient of the award.

“We feel proud and honoured, and I think this is an appreciation,” said Ribka.

The CNN Leading Women Awards 2026 itself is a form of appreciation for inspirational women from various fields. Several national figures attended the event, including House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani, Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, as well as CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung, along with other inspirational female figures.
