BEKASI, KOMPAS.COM - Danantara Indonesia is preparing funding of up to Rp16 trillion for the construction of vertical housing under the 3 million homes programme, which has received a land grant from Lippo Group. Lippo Group has donated around 30 hectares of land in the Cikarang area, Bekasi, which is estimated to be able to build 140,000 vertical housing units for low-income households (MBR). CEO of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, said the institute will play a role in supporting project financing while also opening up collaboration opportunities with various parties, including state-owned construction companies (BUMN Karya) and private enterprises. In the initial phase, the project will build housing on land of around 12.8 hectares. At the site, it is planned to construct around 18 vertical housing towers. Each tower is projected to have around 32 storeys. With this scale of construction, the project’s investment is estimated at Rp14 trillion to Rp16 trillion, all of which is supported by Danantara Indonesia. ‘The value of the construction, based on the plan for this 12.8 hectares, we will build a total of 18 towers. That is the calculation; with 32 storeys, the range is roughly Rp14 trillion to Rp16 trillion,’ he explained. He added that in addition to providing financing support, Danantara will also promote collaboration between BUMN Karya and the private sector in the construction of the project. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the realisation of housing construction while also supporting the government’s 3 million homes programme to address the housing backlog and provide decent housing for the public. ‘So with our financing we will fully support, and we also have BUMN Karya that can cooperate in this project, of course together with other private companies, we will collaborate,’ he said.
