Rebana Authority Offers Investment Opportunities to Selangor Investors at SIBS ASEAN 2026

The Cirebon–Patimban–Kertajati (Rebana) Area Management Agency (BP Rebana) has offered strategic investment opportunities to investors and business players from Selangor, Malaysia, during the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) ASEAN 2026 in Bandung. Head of BP Rebana, Helmy Yahya, stated that the forum was a momentum to introduce West Java’s investment potential, particularly the Rebana Metropolitan area, to regional investors. “My job at BP Rebana is to promote and invite investors. The interest has been very good. Now we just need to follow up by simplifying permits, reducing bureaucracy, and preparing the required workforce,” he said. Helmy explained that Rebana Metropolitan covers seven regencies and one city with a population of around 10 million people. The area features four industrial zones spanning approximately 43,000 hectares. He noted that the current occupancy rate of the industrial zones is still below 10%, leaving significant room for new investment. “This means we still have a very large investment potential. Investors can invest in various sectors,” he added. Helmy further stated that Rebana is one of the economic corridors projected to grow in Indonesia, supported by strategic infrastructure such as Kertajati International Airport, Patimban Port, and interconnected toll road networks. He also highlighted that West Java is the largest investment destination in Indonesia, with a population of over 47 million and a workforce of around 26 million people. “In 2025, West Java’s export value was recorded at approximately 38.45 billion US dollars. With stronger cooperation, I am confident this figure can increase significantly,” he said. Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated Group CEO, Mej (K) Dato’ Ts. Saipolyazan M. Yusop, said Indonesia is a strategic economic partner for Selangor in strengthening ASEAN economic growth. He noted that cooperation opportunities between Selangor and Indonesia cover various sectors, including renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, the halal industry, logistics, the digital economy, healthcare, aerospace, education, smart cities, and food security. “Selangor is ready to become a gateway for Indonesian businesses to enter the Malaysian and ASEAN markets,” he said. He added that Selangor has a business ecosystem supported by infrastructure, a skilled workforce, logistics, and a conducive investment climate. Through SIBS ASEAN 2026, Selangor hopes to strengthen business partnerships, investment, and regional economic integration between Malaysia and Indonesia, particularly with West Java and the Rebana area.
