JAKARTA – The functional section of the Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road will serve as one of the solutions to ease the density of the Lebaran 2026 return traffic flow. However, its operation will not last throughout the entire return period, but will be limited only until Sunday, 29 March 2026. The President Director of PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan, Charles Lendra, stated that although the toll’s operating hours can be extended according to traffic conditions, its usage period still has an end date. While still operational, the opening hours of the Japek II South Toll Road remain flexible. If there is congestion on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section, the operating time can be extended until late at night or even early morning. Conversely, if traffic is smooth, this route will be closed earlier. In addition to operating times, travellers should also pay attention to access to this functional toll road section. “It cannot (enter from arterial roads). Entry access is only through the designated toll gates. So, it cannot be entered directly from arterial roads,” Charles said. This means that road users who wish to utilise the Japek II South Toll Road must first enter through the main toll road, such as from the Sadang direction, before being directed to that functional route. This scheme is implemented to maintain safety and smooth traffic flow, considering the road conditions that are still under construction.
