Reasons Raffi Ahmad Becomes Honorary Ambassador for BPJS Health: Caring and Exemplary

JAKARTA - The CEO of BPJS Health, Prihati Pujowaskito, has revealed that public figure Raffi Ahmad was appointed as the Honorary Ambassador for BPJS Health because of his high level of social concern and ability to serve as a role model.

Pujo stated that Raffi has demonstrated exemplary behaviour as a public figure by registering his workers or employees along with their family members as participants in the National Health Insurance Programme (JKN).

“His concern in registering workers along with their family members as JKN participants shows that health protection for workers is a shared responsibility that can begin from each business environment,” said Pujo, quoted from a press release on Friday (24/4/2026).

“Raffi Ahmad not only has significant influence in the public sphere but also provides an example through concrete actions,” he added.

Pujo mentioned that this title was given to the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and the arts worker as a form of appreciation from BPJS Health for Raffi’s contributions in strengthening the JKN Programme.

“Raffi Ahmad is considered active in building collaborations and able to reach the younger generation and productive society,” said Pujo.

Pujo believes that selecting Raffi as the Honorary Ambassador for BPJS Health will provide positive energy in spreading the spirit of mutual cooperation and social concern.

“The awarding of the Honorary Ambassador title is not merely appreciation, but an invitation for all elements of the nation to move together to maintain the sustainability of the JKN Programme,” said Pujo.

He stated that the award carries great significance and serves as a mandate to help voice the importance of JKN for society.

“The JKN Programme is a manifestation of the state’s presence for all layers of society. The state strives to provide the most basic protection for all layers of Indonesia’s population,” said Raffi.
