Reasons Behind Holding Bhayangkara Day at Brimob Cikeas Training Centre
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has revealed the reason for choosing the Brimob Training Centre (Satlat Brimob) in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, as the venue for the peak celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, held today, Wednesday (1/7).
Head of the Public Relations Division of Polri, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, explained that the choice of location aligns with the theme of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, which is ‘Polri’s Service to the Community’.
He stated that the Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas serves as a representation for the public to see that every police duty involves a process of education and training, from value formation to character building.
‘It is a symbol of improving the quality of human resources as the foundation of Polri’s service, which is professional and modern,’ he said in a written statement.
‘All series of the 80th Bhayangkara Day in 2026 carry the meaning that Polri continues to provide its best service and dedication,’ he added.
On the same occasion, Isir said that the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration will also be led by President Prabowo Subianto as the ceremony inspector.
Also in attendance will be Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and ministries, agencies, and other stakeholders.
‘The peak ceremony of the 80th Bhayangkara Day will be led by President Prabowo Subianto as the Inspector of Ceremony and attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka as well as all ministries, agencies, and stakeholders,’ he explained.
Isir added that the peak celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day today will feature a parade, the awarding of honours, demonstrations, a march-past, and a thanksgiving event.
Additionally, there will be an exhibition of Polri’s primary equipment and special equipment, which are domestic products, as well as the distribution of social assistance to the community.
He explained that a total of 9,000 participants will be involved in the peak celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, consisting of Polri personnel, Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel, and community elements.
Furthermore, Isir mentioned that the series of activities for the Bhayangkara Day anniversary has been ongoing since May. These include Bhakti Bhayangkara activities, visits, interfaith prayers and remembrance, competitions, a sports week, and a wayang performance.
He concluded that the entire series of the 80th Bhayangkara Day anniversary carries the meaning that Polri continues to provide its best service and dedication to the community.
‘Through the implementation of these activities and before the peak ceremony, we are getting closer to the community and also working together with the community,’ he concluded.
