When two elephants fight, a mouse deer will be killed in the
middle, so people are fond of saying. The truth of this saying is
increasingly visible to us now.

For one thing, it is interesting to note that members of the
Cendana family have been summoned by police headquarters one by
one in order to be interrogated over the disappearance of Tommy
Soeharto, who has been sentenced to 18 months in jail. Wise men
say that life is like a wheel. At one time it is in the upper
position and at another time it is the other way around. So,
don't complain when it is our turn to be down and don't be
arrogant when we are in an upper position.

This saying is true in the case of the Cendana family. They
have sown slander and it is now time for them to reap disaster.
They are used to sacrificing someone else for their own interests
and now they have the heart to sacrifice Tommy who serves as a
shield for their now weak and old father. Hopefully, Tommy will
not be found dead.

In fact, Tommy couldn't have escaped if the Attorney General's
Office had taken quicker and firmer action. As things stand now,
Tommy proves himself to be a coward. He has refused to bear
responsibility because he cannot bring himself to face reality.
