Realising Sympathetic Sumedang Towards Golden Indonesia 2045, Secretary Tuti - KAPOL.ID
SUMEDANG, KAPOL – The Secretary of Sumedang Regency, Dr. Hj. Tuti Ruswati, S.Sos., M.Si., provided profound emphasis on the direction of local education policy during the momentum of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026. She asserted that education must be regarded as a long-term investment in civilisation that serves as the primary key in realising the vision of Sympathetic Sumedang towards Golden Indonesia 2045. According to the Secretary, the quality of education is the most objective instrument in determining the direction of progress for Sumedang Regency. She emphasised that the success of this sector must not be measured solely by achievements on paper or administrative reports, but by its real impact on the quality of life of the community. “Education is a mandatory basic service matter. On our shoulders, education is not just about numbers in report cards or administrative achievement indices, but about humanising humans,” she stated on Saturday (2/5). Touching on Sumedang’s status as a Digital Region, this first female Secretary in Sumedang reminded that technological transformation in the education sector must prioritise aspects of justice. She underlined the government’s commitment to ensuring no quality disparities between schools in the city centre and those in remote areas. “Digitalisation is about accessibility. We want to ensure that our children, whether in the city centre or in remote villages, have the same opportunity to reach the world,” emphasised the former Head of Bappeda. In addition to focusing on students, Ms Tuti also highlighted the strategic role of educators as the driving force of bureaucracy in the field. She stated that the local government continues to commit to improving administrative governance to ensure the rights of teachers, both civil servants, PPPK, and honorary staff, are served more transparently. “Our commitment is to ensure that teachers can work calmly. Prosperous teachers are the key to producing high-achieving students,” she added. In closing her statement, Tuti invited all stakeholders to strengthen cross-sector collaboration. She believes that improving the Human Development Index (IPM) requires strong synergy between government, parents, and the business world. She hopes that this year’s Hardiknas momentum will serve as a motivator for Sumedang’s young generation not only to be proficient in using technology but also to become problem-solvers for challenges in their own region. “Happy National Education Day to all Sumedang residents. Let us strengthen our collective commitment: Sympathetic Sumedang advancing further towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” she concluded.
