Ready to Follow Interior Ministry Decree on WFH, Pramono: Definitely Not on Wednesdays
Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, will fully follow the central government’s policy on the implementation of work from home (WFH) for Civil Servants (ASN).
“In principle, as I have said, the DKI Jakarta Government will follow whatever guidance and regulations are officially issued by the central government,” Pramono stated at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building on Monday (30/3).
Nevertheless, the DKI Provincial Government provides an important note regarding the scheduling of WFH days. He assured that the policy will not be implemented on Wednesdays, which have been established as public transportation days for ASN in Jakarta.
“Regarding the day, of course not Wednesday. Why not Wednesday? Because Wednesday is public transportation day, so accordingly, if it is later decided by the central government, I will decide outside of Wednesday. Because Wednesday remains for public transportation,” he emphasised.
On the other hand, the implementation of WFH following central regulations is also projected to be part of the energy efficiency strategy and reduction of daily ASN mobility, without disrupting the existing transportation policy in the Capital.
The DKI Provincial Government is awaiting the official decision from the central government before establishing the technical scheme for WFH implementation in the Jakarta ASN environment.
