Golkar Kota Depok has begun revving up its party machinery as an initial step to face the forthcoming political contestation. Consolidation is being carried out comprehensively down to the grassroots level, as an effort to strengthen the organisational structure while ensuring optimal public services to the community.

Chairman of the Depok City Golkar DPD, Farabi El Fouz, affirmed that the party’s preparedness is not measured solely by the strength of the elites, but also by the solidity of cadres in the field. According to him, all party elements must move actively and be responsive to the needs of the community.

“The party machinery must be started now. We cannot work instantaneously. Consolidation must be carried out down to the sub-district level, even to RT and RW. That is where the true face of the party is seen by the public,” said Farabi on Sunday (26/4/2026).

He emphasised that the presence of Golkar cadres must be felt directly by residents, not just during political moments. Public service, said Farabi, is the main key in building public trust.

“We must be present and serve the community in a real way. Down to the sub-district level, even RT and RW, we must truly be part of the solution to the problems faced by residents,” he stated.

Farabi also encouraged all cadres to actively absorb public aspirations. That way, the programmes run by the party can be more on target and in accordance with real needs in the field.

According to him, the approach taken by Golkar is not merely an electoral political approach, but also a sustainable social approach. This is important so that the party does not appear to be present only ahead of elections.

“We want to build sustained closeness with the community. So not just present during campaigns, but truly become partners of the community in daily life because the voice of Golkar is the voice of the people,” he explained.

In addition, Golkar Depok has also begun mapping potentials and challenges in each region. This step is taken so that the strategies formulated can be more effective and adaptive to local dynamics.

Farabi is optimistic that with strong consolidation and real work in the field, Golkar Depok can face political contestation with confidence. He invited all cadres to maintain solidity and the spirit of togetherness in growing the party.

“If we are solid and work for the community, insya Allah trust will come by itself,” he concluded.
