Reaching Pelita Air Passengers, Pertamina's Mentored SMEs Take to the Skies
PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to strengthen its commitment to advancing Indonesia’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through increasingly expansive marketing innovations. Now, flagship products from Pertamina’s mentored MSMEs are taking to the skies and can be accessed by passengers via Pelita Air’s airline booklet.
This initiative represents a strategic step by Pertamina to open broader market access for MSMEs, while also offering passengers a new experience in discovering and purchasing high-quality local products during their flights.
The programme also aligns with Pertamina’s ongoing efforts to help advance Indonesian MSMEs, making them more competitive and enabling them to level up in both national and global markets.
Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, stated that this collaboration supports Pertamina’s efforts to strengthen the people’s economy.
“Pertamina is committed to continuously encouraging MSMEs to level up through expanded market access. The presence of MSME products in the airline booklet is an innovative step to make local products better known, while also making it easier for the public, including aeroplane passengers, to access flagship MSME products,” Baron said, quoted on Friday (8/5/2026).
Pelita Air’s Corporate Secretary, Patria Rhamadonna, added that this collaboration is part of Pelita Air’s efforts to provide added value in services for passengers while supporting national MSME development.
“Through collaboration with Pertamina, Pelita Air is also opening promotional access for Indonesian MSME products to more customers. We hope this initiative will benefit passengers while driving MSME growth,” Patria said.
In addition, through this programme, Pelita Air passengers can easily view various curated products from Pertamina’s mentored MSMEs, ranging from food items, fashion, to handicrafts. This not only increases MSME exposure but also adds value to passengers’ journeys.
This collaboration is expected to create a sustainable ecosystem for MSME mentoring, not only in terms of guidance and product quality improvement but also in opening innovative and competitive marketing access.
One passenger, Dewi, said she found the MSME product information in the booklet helpful. During a business trip out of town, Dewi, who was looking for a practical travel mukena to support her mobility, found a product that suited her needs through the airline booklet.
“As someone who travels frequently for business, I was indeed looking for a lightweight and practical travel mukena to carry. It turns out the airline booklet has recommendations for products from Pertamina’s mentored MSMEs, so it was very helpful in finding a suitable product without having to search in many places,” Dewi explained.
