Reaching 660 Million Users Across 170 Global Markets, CapCut World Targets Creators Across Three Continents
Since its launch in 2020, the video editing platform CapCut has evolved into an integrated editing hub, serving as a birthplace for various creative ideas. It caters to both creators who spark global trends and filmmakers who produce original works from scratch.
Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut, stated that CapCut currently reaches more than 660 million users in over 170 markets. The platform is available in 30 languages and is accessible across Southeast Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and various other regions.
“To mark this achievement, CapCut is introducing CapCut World as a premiere series of community events in Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe, to appreciate and empower creators,” Xiaoqi said in a statement on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.
At the inaugural CapCut World event for Southeast Asia held in Singapore last weekend, CapCut brought together more than 300 creators, industry leaders, and CapCut team members to share inspiring stories from the creator community.
“They exchanged tips regarding the creative process and learned more about the favourite features that shape Cap_Cut today,” he added.
An interactive and continuously refined creative process has long been a pillar of the CapCut community. Currently, more than 6 million template creators drive this momentum, publishing over 400,000 new templates every day to inspire and assist others in their creative endeavours.
To further strengthen the role of templates in the creative process, CapCut recently launched ‘Skills’. This new feature allows creators to save and share the styles, workflows, and techniques behind their work, rather than just the final result.
Through ‘Skills’, creators can more easily customise and develop their creative processes, while simultaneously helping other creators learn and apply these techniques to their own work.
For example, when filmmaker and CapCut creator Vee Camallere produced ‘Featherweight’—an AI-driven series that has amassed over 25 million views—she saved her colour grading process as a specific ‘Skill’. This allows Vee to apply the same aesthetic to every episode without having to repeat the process from scratch.
