RBI Expected to Strengthen Gender Perspective in Development Commitment
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah Fauzi hopes that the existence of Ruang Bersama Indonesia (RBI) can strengthen collective commitments to delivering development that favours women and children.
“Since 2025, the Ministry of PPPA has collaborated with the Cilacap Regency Government to make Donan Subdistrict one of the initial RBI piloting locations through various training programmes, ranging from leadership and entrepreneurship to infrastructure preparation. The RBI in Donan Subdistrict serves as a best practice example in strengthening collective commitments to delivering development that favours women and children,” she stated in a press release in Jakarta on Thursday.
She made these remarks during the inauguration of the RBI in Donan Subdistrict, Cilacap Regency, Central Java Province.
Her side hopes that RBI can drive policy synchronisation between central and regional governments.
She explained that RBI not only provides skills training and a hub for women’s UMKM development but also offers spaces for children to learn, play, and understand national culture and values.
“This is a collaborative space for all elements of society to promote inclusive and sustainable women’s empowerment and child protection,” said Minister Arifah Fauzi.
In addition to inaugurating the RBI in Donan Subdistrict, she also inspected the Hydroponic Vegetable Cultivation Community of the Tunas Wiling Women’s Farmer Group (KWT), posyandu, a violence complaint service post, and child-friendly facilities such as a reading room and playground in Cilacap Regency.
