Rasuna Said Road in Kuningan Transformed, Resembling a Developed Country

The Setiabudi-Rasuna Said area in Kuningan, Jakarta, has been transformed into a modern public space. The area, once synonymous with the view of abandoned monorail pillars, has now been converted into a modern public space that is friendly to pedestrians and public transport users, complete with supporting facilities. The Jakarta provincial government inaugurated various new infrastructure and public spaces, with the Rasuna Said area receiving significant attention. Bollards and streetlights adorned with Betawi ornaments are placed every few metres along the roadside. The 3.65-kilometre road improvement project includes the construction of drainage channels, the arrangement of roads and pedestrian paths, and the development of parks. CNBC Indonesia previously reported that the pedestrian and road arrangement project cost Rp 100 billion.
