Rare animals confiscated in Bandung

BANDUNG: Authorities in West Java province have seized some 20 rare animals from individuals and animal traders in Bandung, the capital of West Java.

The rare animals, which were confiscated on Wednesday during a raid held by the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Body in conjunction with the West Java police, were, among others, a rare turtle species, a Javanese fox and cockatoos.

The raid brought the number of rare animals confiscated throughout year in Bandung alone to 40. -- Antara
