Rapist still at large
JAKARTA (JP): Police are hunting for a man who allegedly raped a housewife at a housing complex in Ciputat, Tangerang, on Sunday.
A police sergeant at the Ciputat police sub-precinct told The Jakarta Post yesterday that a police team was investigating the case.
The housewife, identified as Nu, 24, was reportedly raped by an armed man moments after her husband -- a shooting coach -- had left the house for work, the sergeant said.
Three unidentified men entered the house. One of them quickly raped Nu while the others stole her jewelry and some money. The three men escaped.
Nu is being treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo general hospital.
Nu said she was not suspicious when a man asked her to open the door. "His voice was like my husband's voice," she said.
She said the man threatened her with a gun. She was raped in her bedroom.
"His voice is like someone's I know. But where I met him I can't remember," she said, seemingly shocked. (jun)
