Rantang Syurga Programme Provides Broad Benefits for Family Breadwinners
The Sukabumi Sedekah Jamaah community has once again collaborated with Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Sukabumi to hold the Rantang Syurga programme, a free food distribution activity carried out every Friday after congregational prayers.
The programme, which has been running for nearly a year and will mark its first anniversary in August 2026, aims to provide decent meals for those in need, particularly breadwinners such as online motorcycle taxi drivers, traders, scavengers and other informal workers.
Although it has only four members supported by four volunteers, the Sedekah Jamaah community remains consistent in running the programme every week as a form of care for others.
On Friday (3/7/2026), food was prepared and distributed. DT Peduli Sukabumi provided the distribution location on Jalan RA Kosasih, Sukaraja. The site was chosen because it sits alongside a busy main road frequented by online motorcycle taxi drivers, traders, public transport drivers and other members of the public, making it effective in reaching beneficiaries.
The following week, the Rantang Syurga activity is planned to take place in front of the DT Peduli Sukabumi office. In addition to providing the venue, the DT Peduli Sukabumi team also intends to take part in fundraising to support the programme’s sustainability.
Teguh Gumilang, coordinator of the Sedekah Jamaah community, expressed his gratitude for the smooth running of the activity.
“Alhamdulillah, today’s activity ran smoothly and was carried out well, so it can provide greater benefits for breadwinners such as online motorcycle taxi drivers, traders, scavengers and others. We hope this synergy of goodwill can remain steadfast and mutually supportive in bringing benefits to the community,” he said.
Through the Rantang Syurga programme, the Sedekah Jamaah community hopes that the spirit of sharing and social care will continue to grow, while inviting more parties to collaborate in bringing benefits to those in need.
