Rantang Syurga Programme Provides Broad Benefits for Family Breadwinners
The Sedekah Jamaah Community of Sukabumi has once again collaborated with Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Sukabumi to hold the Rantang Syurga Programme, a free food sharing activity carried out every Friday after prayers. The programme, which has been running for almost a year and will mark its first anniversary in August 2026, aims to provide decent meals for people in need, particularly breadwinners such as online motorcycle taxi drivers, traders, waste pickers, and other informal workers. Although the Sedekah Jamaah Community consists of only four members supported by four volunteers, it remains consistent in running the programme weekly as a form of care for others. On Friday (3/7/2026), food was prepared and distributed. DT Peduli Sukabumi was responsible for providing the distribution location on Jalan RA Kosasih, Sukaraja. The location was chosen because it is situated on a busy main road frequented by online motorcycle taxi drivers, traders, public transport operators, and other members of the public, making it effective for reaching beneficiaries. The following week, the Rantang Syurga activity is planned to be held in front of the DT Peduli Sukabumi Office. In addition to providing the location, the DT Peduli Sukabumi team also plans to participate in fundraising to support the programme’s sustainability. The Coordinator of the Sedekah Jamaah Community, Teguh Gumilang, expressed his gratitude for the smooth running of the activity. ‘Alhamdulillah, today’s activity went smoothly and was carried out well so that it can provide greater benefits for breadwinners, such as online motorcycle taxi drivers, traders, waste pickers, and others. Hopefully, this synergy of goodness can remain consistent and mutually supportive in bringing benefits to the community,’ he said. Through the Rantang Syurga Programme, the Sedekah Jamaah Community hopes that the spirit of sharing and social awareness will continue to grow, while also inviting more parties to collaborate in bringing benefits to people in need.
