PT RANS Entertainment Indonesia Tbk officially listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (10/7), becoming the seventh company to list on the exchange so far in 2026, with the ticker code RANS.

Chief Executive of RANS Entertainment Indonesia Nagita Slavina said the listing demonstrates that the entertainment industry is no longer merely about producing content, but has developed into a driver of the national economy.

“Creativity is capital, creativity is an asset, and creativity can become a public company trusted by the Indonesian people,” Nagita said at RANS’s debut listing ceremony on the IDX on Friday (10/7/2026).

Nagita said the entertainment industry has now developed well beyond its core function of providing viewing material. According to her, the sector can create jobs, mobilise SMEs, and drive growth in tourism, transport and regional economies.

“Entertainment is no longer just consumption. Entertainment has become the new economic infrastructure,” she said.

She gave the example of a film generating not only ticket revenue but also business for hotels, restaurants and tourist destinations. Likewise, music concerts stimulate transport activity, trade and micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Meanwhile, animated characters can be developed into licensed products and even tourist destinations.

Director of Company Valuation at the IDX Saidu Solihin said the listing of RANS shares marks the beginning of new responsibilities as a publicly listed company. According to him, the firm is required to maintain good corporate governance, compliance, and openness of information to the public.
