PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to uphold its mandate to safeguard national energy security, an effort that has placed the company third in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list for 2026. Amidst the increasingly complex dynamics of the energy sector, this achievement serves as motivation for Pertamina to continuously improve service quality, strengthen operational reliability, and ensure energy availability across all regions of Indonesia. For Pertamina, this regional recognition is part of the company’s journey to deliver greater contributions to society and the state.

The award was received by Pertamina’s Deputy CEO, Oki Muraza, during the Executive Dinner and Fortune Southeast Asia 500 Awards ceremony held at The Langham’s East Ballroom in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), South Jakarta, on Thursday, 18 June 2026.

Oki explained that as an integrated energy company in Indonesia, Pertamina carries the mandate to be a pillar of both national energy security and the energy transition. “Pertamina is implementing a dual growth strategy: maximising existing business while building low-carbon ventures. This is done to ensure that energy security and the energy transition proceed simultaneously,” he stated.

Oki also conveyed that Pertamina’s focus is ensuring energy, particularly fuel, adheres to the principles of 4A and 1S: Availability, Accessibility, Affordability, Acceptability, and Sustainability.

Meanwhile, Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, said that this achievement represents a trust that must be answered with improved performance and service. “We interpret this ranking as a mandate to continuously enhance service and strengthen our contribution to maintaining national energy security. The greater the trust placed in us, the greater our responsibility to ensure energy is available, affordable, and reliable for communities throughout Indonesia,” Baron stated.

According to Baron, the recognition serves as a driver for Pertamina to continue adapting to changes in the global energy landscape while reinforcing its role in supporting national development. “This recognition motivates us to keep innovating, improving performance, and delivering tangible benefits to society. Our focus remains the same: ensuring national energy needs are met safely, reliably, and sustainably,” Baron concluded.
