Ranked 4th in the World, FEB UI Becomes Indonesia's Best Islamic Economics School
Depok (ANTARA) - The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Indonesia (FEB UI) has successfully secured fourth place worldwide in the list of the top 30 best Islamic business schools for 2026 and has become Indonesia’s leading Islamic economics school.
This ranking was released by DinarStandard and reported by Salaam Gateway on Tuesday (31/3). With a score of 75.3, FEB UI has positioned itself alongside leading global institutions.
On Wednesday, FEB UI Dean Yulianti Abbas stated that this achievement is the result of the entire academic community’s commitment to maintaining the quality of education and research in the fields of Islamic economics and finance.
“We believe that the application of Islamic Excellence (ISLEX) values, which emphasise integrity, character, and academic excellence, serves as an important foundation in shaping graduates who can contribute at a global level,” she said.
FEB UI is positioned just below three institutions, demonstrating strong international competitiveness.
In Indonesia, FEB UI holds the top position, followed by the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), which ranks 14th worldwide and second nationally.
She further stated that FEB UI continues to strengthen the implementation of ISLEX values through various academic programmes, international collaborations, and ongoing research contributions.
This ranking also serves as an indicator of the increasing competitiveness of Indonesian higher education institutions on the global stage, particularly in the field of Islamic economics.
International recognition of FEB UI demonstrates that the contributions of academics and practitioners in developing the sharia economic ecosystem are gaining widespread attention.
This simultaneously strengthens Indonesia’s position as one of the important centres in the global development of Islamic economics.
The implementation of ISLEX values will continue to be expanded as the identity and strength of FEB UI, so that this faculty not only becomes a pioneer in Indonesia but also plays an active role in shaping the direction of Islamic economic development at the global level.
