Rangkasbitung KRL experiences operational disruption due to electrical pole spark
Jakarta (ANTARA) - KAI Commuter has stated that there is an operational disruption to the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line journey due to a spark from an Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) electrical pole, which is disturbing the train operations on Monday afternoon (4/5). “For the safety of the Commuter Line journey and the OLE network, the OLE supply has been temporarily shut down,” said KAI Commuter’s Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan, in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday. He added that the shutdown of the OLE network has caused the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line services on the Pondokranji - Sudimara route to be temporarily impassable since 4:30 PM WIB. He emphasised that relevant personnel are currently handling the situation and making efforts to normalise Commuter Line operations at the location, which is currently being hit by rain. The company has expressed apologies for this operational disruption and the delays to Rangkasbitung Commuter Line services this afternoon. He further added that to minimise journey delays on the Commuter Line, KAI Commuter will implement journey rerouting on that route. “Temporarily, Commuter Line services from Rangkasbitung or Parung Panjang will only go as far as Serpong Station. Meanwhile, Commuter Line services from Tanah Abang will only go as far as Kebayoran Station,” he said. KAI Commuter has urged all users to always prioritise safety and follow instructions from station personnel. “Updates on Commuter Line journeys can be accessed via the C-Access app and KAI Commuter’s official social media accounts,” he said.
