Rangkasbitung–Cileles toll road section II opened without toll charges
Lebak — The Rangkasbitung–Cileles toll road section II, which connects Rangkasbitung to Cileles, has been opened without toll charges to support smooth and comfortable traffic flow during the Lebaran holiday exodus for the Islamic year 1447 Hijriah/2026.
“We are operationalising the Rangkasbitung–Cileles toll road section II to support smooth traffic flow for both the outbound and return journeys to various areas in southern Banten,” said Muhammad Albagir, Manager of Business Development and Marketing at PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang (Wika Serpan), when contacted in Lebak on Friday.
The toll-free policy will be implemented from 12 to 25 March 2026. The policy aims to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Lebaran holiday period so that travellers can celebrate the festival in their hometowns. The toll road is connected to the Serang–Rangkasbitung route, which links to Jakarta and Merak, allowing passengers heading to southern Banten to utilise the Rangkasbitung–Cileles section II.
Meanwhile, operations on the Rangkasbitung–Cileles toll road section II will be conducted from 07:00 WIB to 17:00 WIB. The operational hours were set at this timeframe because street lighting at several points is not yet optimal and operations will only be conducted until the afternoon.
“We hope that passengers using the Rangkasbitung–Cileles toll road will exercise caution and arrive safely at their destinations,” he said.
