Randhawa leads Thailand Open

BANGKOK (AFP): Jyoti Randhawa of India hit a six-under-par 66 on Friday to move into a two shot lead at the halfway mark of the Thailand Open.

Randhawa fired six birdies in another flawless display, and leads on 13 under par 131 from James Kingston of South Africa who carded the day's best score of 64 at Thana City Golf and Country Club.

Thai favorite Boonchu Ruangkit posted a 67 and shares third spot on nine under par with Scotland's Thai-based Simon Yates.

Randhawa, winner of the Hero Honda Masters in Delhi last week, carded three birdies from within six feet either side of the turn, as he followed his opening 65 with another superb exhibition of short iron play.
