Ramos sets out Euro trip

MANILA (AFP): President Fidel Ramos is to meet Thailand's
prime minister, Chuan Leekpai, in Bangkok today en route to the
Philippine leader's five-nation official visit to Western Europe,
the presidential palace said yesterday.

The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to boost two-way
trade, explore areas of economic cooperation and complementation
between the two southeast Asian countries, and review regional
developments during Ramos stopover, a palace statement said.
