Ramos and SBY talk ties
JAKARTA: Former Philippine president Fidel Ramos met with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Thursday during a visit to Indonesia.
Ramos said the two talked about how to boost bilateral ties, investment and trade.
He said Indonesia and the Philippines aimed to accelerate economic development through the BIMPEAGA (the Brunei-Indonesia- Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area), which was set up 10 years ago.
Ramos, who currently chairs the Ramos Peace and Development Foundation and the Boao Forum for Asia, has been in Indonesia since Sunday.
He earlier met Vice President Jusuf Kalla and delivered a speech before the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. --JP
