Jakarta — The management of Kampung Rambutan bus terminal has prepared a health post as an integral part of preparations for the 2026 Eid exodus traffic.

“In preparing for the 2026 Eid exodus at Kampung Rambutan terminal, we are setting up several posts, one of which is a health post on standby,” said Kepala Terminal Bus Kampung Rambutan Revi Zulkarnain at the terminal in East Jakarta on Tuesday.

The post will focus on health checks and urine tests for bus drivers to ensure passenger safety during travel. According to Revi, the health post is an important facility during the Eid transportation period because driver physical condition is crucial to ensuring safety during long-distance journeys.

“At Kampung Rambutan terminal we have a health post where we conduct driver health checks and urine tests for drivers,” he said.

The checks are carried out to ensure drivers are in good health and free from drug abuse before transporting passengers to various homecoming destinations. Through inter-agency collaboration, driver health checks are conducted comprehensively, ranging from physical condition assessments to urine tests as a preventive measure against narcotics use.

“So we provide check-ups for drivers who will depart carrying passengers, ensuring drivers are in good health before making the journey,” Revi explained.

Beyond drivers, the health post is also being prepared to provide emergency health services for passengers and terminal staff who require medical attention during the Eid transportation period.

Revi added that the health post at Kampung Rambutan terminal will begin operating on 13 March 2026 and run until 31 March 2026, coinciding with the Eid transportation service period.

With the health post in place, Revi hopes bus drivers operating from Kampung Rambutan terminal are in peak condition so that people’s homecoming journeys can proceed safely and smoothly.

In addition to the health post, the management of Kampung Rambutan bus terminal in East Jakarta is also preparing a special rest area for bus drivers to support the smooth operation of the 2026 Eid exodus and return.

The special rest area is a facility to help drivers remain in peak condition whilst transporting passengers to their hometowns. The capacity of this rest area is sufficient to accommodate approximately 40–50 drivers coming in rotation during the mudik operation period.

The facility operates 24 hours a day so that drivers can use it at any time, whether before or after travel. Inside the rest area, terminal management has also prepared various supporting facilities so that drivers can rest comfortably, including beds, carpets, a dispenser for coffee, televisions, and fans to allow drivers to rest comfortably.
