Ramayana's First-Half Profit Plunges 11% as Revenue Declines

PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa (RALS) recorded a net profit of Rp204.9 billion for the first half of 2026, an 11.05% decline from the Rp230.3 billion posted in the same period last year. The drop was primarily driven by a 12.65% fall in revenue to Rp1.31 trillion, from Rp1.50 trillion in the first half of 2025, mainly due to a decrease in sales of outright purchased goods.

Sales of outright purchased goods fell 15.42% to Rp928.9 billion, while consignment sales revenue also contracted 5.13% to Rp383.7 billion. The cost of goods sold for outright purchases was reduced by 16.62% to Rp590.1 billion, resulting in a gross profit decline of 9.12% to Rp722.7 billion. Selling expenses dropped 29.64% to Rp43.2 billion, and general and administrative expenses decreased 3.52% to Rp559.5 billion.

Other income rose significantly by 37.29% to Rp84.7 billion, while other expenses shrank to Rp85 million. However, operating profit still fell 4.37% to Rp204.6 billion. Finance income decreased 24.48% to Rp50.5 billion, and finance costs increased 18.74% to Rp16.7 billion, leading to a 10.64% decline in profit before tax to Rp238.4 billion. Total comprehensive income dropped 22.60% to Rp184.5 billion, impacted by a loss from changes in the fair value of available-for-sale financial assets. The company’s total assets also decreased to Rp4.5 trillion from Rp4.7 trillion at the end of 2025.
