Ramayana Lestari's profit falls 7.2%
JAKARTA: PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa, Indonesia's second-largest
retailer, announced its first-half profit fell 7.2 percent as
costs rose and foreign-exchange gains declined.
Net income fell to Rp 104.06 billion (US$11 million) in the
six months ended June 30 from 112.2 billion rupiah in the year
earlier period, the company said in a statement to the Jakarta
Stock Exchange.
Sales rose 12 percent to Rp 1.61 trillion.
Operating costs rose 13 percent to Rp 318 billion.
Foreign-exchange gains fell to Rp 12.8 billion from Rp 29.2
